India replaces China as top retail destination in 2017
According to experts, China has been replaced by India as a top retail destination in global retail development index for 2017. Factors like increased consumer spending, rising mobile, internet penetration, favorable foreign investment climate, bold action on cashless transaction and GST were the main reasons for the top position. The Indian retail sector will become more organised and competitive with global participation.
