Indian, Sri Lankan officials discuss debt repayment amid Covid19 outbreak

Indian officials held talks with their Sri Lankan counterparts on Monday and Tuesday for rescheduling Sri Lanka’s repayment to India and the country's $1.1 billion currency swap request to counter the threat posed by the spread of novel coronavirus. "In the post-COVID world, India remains committed to partner Sri Lanka closely for the latter’s sustained economic recovery," the official statement by India read.
