Jagan Reddy faces backlash after renaming Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award after his father, cancels order

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy had to face severe criticism from the opposition as well as the general public after he passed an order to rename the ‘APJ Abdul Kalam Pratibha Puraskar Awards’ after his father, the late YSR Reddy. The award is presented to meritorious Class 10 students on November 11. However, the CM later cancelled his order after facing severe backlash from various parties.
