Janata Dal-United expels Prashant Kishor, Pavan Varma from the party

The Janata Dal (United) on Wednesday expelled election strategist Prashant Kishor and leader Pavan Varma from the party. The bold decision came a day after the poll strategist publicly lashed out at his party's chief Nitish Kumar, calling his recent stance on multiple issues a "fall" for him. Kishor had criticised Nitish on Twitter after the latter claimed that he inducted Kishor into the party after Amit Shah's suggestion.
