LS 2019 Elections: 120,000 Ads, Rs 27.7 crore spent by Political parties on Facebook

Political parties spent a total of Rs 27.7 crore on Facebook for posting political ads on Facebook in the Lok Sabha 2019 elections. From Feb to May, political parties posted 124,094 ads to reach out to the public. BJP alone spent more than Rs 4 crore, 200% more than Congress which spent about Rs 1.8 crore. Other big spenders were regional parties like TDP, BJD & the YSR Congress. The 7 phase general elections ended on May 19.
