Modi government overshoots fiscal deficit target

Modi government breached the full year fiscal deficit target in November itself and on the economic front this is a setback for them. Data from the Controller General of Accounts government shows in the current fiscal year the fiscal deficit was 112%. For the ongoing fiscal the govt is going to borrow Rs 50,000cr from the market but that could affect the bank recapitalization plan for the govt.
