Mumbai and Kolkata responsible for half of the electoral bonds sold: RTI response

In response to a Right to Information query it has been revealed that Mumbai and Kolkata are responsible for more than 50% of the electoral bonds sold so far. Electoral bonds are the monetary instruments that citizens and corporate groups can buy from the SBI and can give it to political parties. These bonds are anonymous. The scheme of the Electoral bond was notified in January 2018 in the country.
