Musharraf declared absconder, 2 cops jailed in Benazir Bhutto murder case
Two senior policemen have received 17-year prison sentences for negligence over the assassination of ex-Pakistani PM Benazir Bhutto in 2007. The court declared former military ruler Pervez Musharraf as an absconder in the case and also ordered authorities to seize his property. Five men were acquitted of conspiracy to murder charges. Benazir Bhutto was killed in a gun and bombing attack in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.
