US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi arrived at Taipei Songshan Airport Tuesday, after taking off from the capital of Malaysia even as China upped the ante and threatened Washington with "very grave" consequences if the high-level visit takes place. For Pelosi's safe arrival in Taiwan, the US deployed 4 warships near East Taiwan for her arrival. Meanwhile, reports suggest that China has closed its airspace for all passenger planes.
