US President Joe Biden defended the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan while calling it the right and wise decision. “We’ve been a nation too long at war. If you’re 20 years old today, you have never known an America at peace," Biden said while defending his decision. The US President said he has honoured the commitment to end the war. "We no longer had a clear purpose in an open-ended mission in Afghanistan," he added.
