P Chidambaram, son Karti get pre-arrest bail in Aircel-Maxis case

In the INX Media case, the Supreme Court today has refused to grant protection to Congress leader and former Union minister P Chidambaram and his son Karti. However, the apex court has granted them protection from arrest by a Delhi court in the Aircel-Maxis corruption case. Mr. Chidambaram has already spent 15 days in the CBI custody, and anticipatory bail has to be exercised sparingly in cases of economic offenses, SC said.
