An internal study conducted by Pakistan to understand the mood of the public on the situation of Uighurs in China found that confidence-building measures in Xinjiang and a "better understanding of the religion" will be helpful for Chinese authorities. The internal assessment of the public sentiment on the atrocities against Uighurs Muslims by Chinese in Xinjiang saw religious Urdu journals being more vocal about it matter.
