Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo has launched her bid for the French presidency, posing a challenge to Emmanuel Macron, who is yet to confirm his bid for the second term. Far-right leader Marine Le Pen has also launched her bid for the presidency. 62-year-old Hidalgo is likely to win the nomination of her Socialist party in late September. "I want all children in France to have the same opportunities I had," Hidalgo said.
