PM Garib Kalyan Yojana extended, beneficiaries to get free ration till Diwali

In a relief to over 80 crore Indians, PM Modi on Monday announced to extend the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) till Diwali. In this time of the pandemic, the Prime Minister, while addressing the nation, said the government is standing by the poor with every need as their partner. The PMGKAY scheme is a food security welfare scheme announced by the government of India in March 2020.
