Popular chat app Whatsapp has assured India of prompt action on the continuous issue of message traceability which has been thorny between India and Whatsapp for a while now. Whatsapp also asserted on the appointment of a grievance officer in India even as it prepares to launch its widely anticipated payments service in the nation. Global Head of Whatsapp Cathcart stressed the importance of encryption for the app.
