Prominent Muslim citizens handed a cheque of over Rs 6 lakhs as damage compensation: UP Govt

The UP government claims that prominent citizens from Muslim community in Bulandshahr gave a cheque of over Rs 6 lakhs to the district administration as damage compensation due to the violence in town last week. The police had registered 3 FIRs naming 22 people for violence and nearly 800 unnamed people. An administration vehicle was also burnt in the violence and several vehicles were also damaged.
