Congress leader Rahul Gandhi refused to apologise for using the term "Rape in India" to speak out against sexual crimes in the country. The politician refused to take back his statement despite the uproar in the parliament. He went on to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his silence on a former BJP lawmaker's involvement in a rape case. He said Modi and Amit Shah are trying to deflect attention from the unrest in the Northeast.
