Railway Board appoints Ashwin Lohani as the Chairman
The Railway Board has got its new Chairman Mr. Ashwani Lohani. He is presently the Air India's Managing Director and Chairman. Lohani takes over from A.K. Mittal whose resignation was followed by recent train accidents. Kanpur was the place where he completed his primary education and completed his engineering from Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in Jamalpur.
