Recounting completed in Georgia, Joe Biden wins

The victory of US President-elect Joe Biden has been confirmed in the state of Georgia after the authorities completed a manual recount of all the ballots cast there in the presidential election. Biden has become the first Democratic presidential candidate to win the southern US state in almost three decades. Biden's victory was confirmed in a statement posted on the website of Georgia secretary of state Brad Raffensperger.
