"Respect Bangladesh's right to make foreign policy decisions": US reacts to China's warning to Bangladesh

US has finally reacted to China's warning to Bangladesh against joining the QUAD alliance. “We have taken note of that statement from the PRC ambassador to Bangladesh. What we would say is that we respect Bangladesh's sovereignty and we respect Bangladesh's right to make foreign policy decisions for itself,” State Department Spokesperson Ned Price said. Earlier, Bangladesh had called the statement by China as "very unfortunate".
