Row erupts over Lok Sabha speaker's invitation to Pakistan Senate Chairman to attend function in India

A major controversy erupted after Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla sent an invitation to the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Sadiq Sanjrani to visit India for a function in December. “It would be an honour for you to attend the 100th anniversary of the PAC which is the oldest parliamentary committee in India. It would be an honour for us to have you as a guest of the Parliament of India," the letter by Birla to Sadiq read.
