Rs 2,374 cr spent by center on electronic media publicity in last 5 years!

According to an RTI reply, it has been revealed that in last 5 years ministry of broadcasting and information has spent Rs 2,374 cr for publicity in electronic media and Rs 670 cr has been spent on outdoor publicity. The RTI reply added that the expenditure was done on DD National, All India Radio, internet, production, SMS, theatres, advertisements in various categories and many other miscellaneous heads.
