Since 2014-15, Govt has spent Rs 5,200 cr on promotions and ads

In reply to a question in Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore said that since 2014-15, central govt has spent Rs 5,200 crore on advertisement in several media including print and electronic media. In 2014-15 the government spent Rs 979.78 crore which increased to Rs 1,160 crore in the next financial year. In 2017-18 it was Rs 527.96 crore till 7th of December.
