Stop the use of capital punishment: UN calls on all nations a day after Nirbhaya convicts' execution

A day after the Nirbhaya convicts were hanged, the UN has called on all nations to stop the use of capital punishment. UN Secretary Gen's spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said their position is clear and they call all nations to put a stop to the use of capital punishment or put a moratorium on this. This is the first time that 4 men have been hanged together in Tihar jail after they exhausted all legal avenues to escape.
