Taliban won't talk with Afghan government as long as Ashraf Ghani is President: Imran Khan

As the Afghan government continues to call out Pakistan for supporting the Taliban, Pak PM Imran Khan has said he tried to persuade the insurgent group but they are not willing to talk to the Afghan government as long as Ashraf Ghani is President. "I tried to persuade the Taliban... three to four months back when they came here," Khan told Pak-based The News International while ruling out the chances of a political settlement.
