TikTok won't get extension from Trump for US deal

United States President Donald Trump has said that he won't extend the deadline set for Chinese company ByteDance to sell its popular short-video app TikTok's US assets. Trump told the reporters that the deal will be closed if ByteDance fails to sell before the deadline expires. The app's Chinese parent ByteDance has been looking to pick a buyer since Trump ordered to divest the assets, so it can finalize a deal by mid-September.
