Triple Talaq ordinance approved by the President

Thursday, President Ram Nath Kovind has approved the ordinance that makes Triple Talaq a criminal offense. Most of the opposition parties protested against it but the Modi-led BJP govt went on with it and 3 other ordinances. The companies ordinance has also been approved along with Medical council ordinance and the ordinance against Ponzi schemes. Triple talaq ordinance was first brought in September 2018.
