Trump announces sanctions against Turkey, warns of destroying the economy swiftly

Almost a week after the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan directed his military to launch a strike against the Kurdish fighters in Syria, the American President Donald Trump has announced sanctions against Turkish officials. Trump has also ended the negotiations on a USD 100 billion trade deal with Turkey. He said, "I'm fully prepared to swiftly destroy Turkey's economy if it continues down this destructive path "
