UN appointed Indian army veteran as Mission head in Yemen

Retired Lieutenant general Abhijit Guha has been appointed by the United Nation as the chair of Redeployment Coordination Committee (RCC) and head of the UNMHA. He will be tasked with leading the UN oversight of a ceasefire agreement in Hodeidah. General Guha will bring 39-years of international military experience to this job. He had led several UN investigations in Africa and the Middle East.
