UP Police books former governor Aziz Qureshi for sedition over remark on Adityanath government

Aziz Qureshi, the former Uttar Pradesh Governor, has been booked for sedition by the Police for his remarks against the Yogi Adityanath-led state government. An FIR was lodged against Qureshi after BJP leader Akash Saxena filed a complaint at the Civil Lines police station in the Rampur district. Qureshi has been booked under Sections 153A, 153B, 124A and 505[1] [B]. Saxena claimed that Qureshi compared the state govt to a "demon".
