House Democrats said during former US President Donald Trump's impeachment trial that the rioters who stormed the US Capitol were acting on "the president's orders". "They truly believed that the whole intrusion was at the president's orders. The president told them to be there," Representative Diana DeGette of Colorado said. Trump's lawyers will file their response in the former President's defense on Friday.
