Washington Concerned as Chinese Debt Burden Dominate Lankans
The US is showing deep concerns relating to the non-concessional loans that are being given to Sri Lanka by the Chinese. The Chinese have spent billions of Dollars to develop the Lankan infrastructure. What follows is the inability of the Government of Sri Lanka to repay the Chinese debts. The US has reduced its aid to Sri Lanka by 92 percent due to the Chinese involvement.
