Whatsapp informed govt about spyware attack in Sept; IT ministry says info was inadequate

It seems that Whatsapp had informed the Indian government that 121 users were targeted by the Israeli spyware Pegasus. However, the IT ministry says that the information received from Whatsapp was inadequate, incomplete and full of technical jargon. The messaging app responded to govt's query seeking an explanation on the Pegasus spyware incident that snooped on journalists & human rights activists across the world.
