Since the Taliban tookover Kabul on August 15 it has prompted residents to flee the country in a bid to avoid the militant organisation’s impending rule. The US Department of State on August 2 had announced Priority 2 (P-2) designation granting USRAP access to certain Afghan nationals. UK offers to resettle 20,000 Afghans. Canada has also promised to take 20,000 Afghan nationals. India is dealing with refugee issue on a case-by-case basis
