Wikimedia Foundation worried about India’s proposed intermediary liability rules

Nonprofit group Wikimedia Foundation is worried about the Indian Government’s proposed changes to the nation’s intermediary liabilities that would affect swathes of companies along with millions of people that access information. The change in the intermediary rules was proposed last December and it is expected to be approved soon. According to it, any service with more than 5 million users need to set up a local office.
