'Withdraw discriminatory, divisive citizenship bill': Over 600 artistes, writers ask Govt

About 600 artistes, writers academicians, ex-judges have asked the government to withdraw the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in an open letter and called the bill discriminative, divisive and violative of the secular principles of the Constitution. They asserted that the legislation fundamentally alters the character of the Indian Republic & threatens the federal framework given by the Constitution.
