AIFF orders inquiry into Chennai City -Minerva Punjab game

AIFF has launched an inquiry into the final-day I-League decider between Chennai City and Minerva, after an expression of suspicion. Leaders Chennai City’s loss to Churchill had handed East Bengal a shot at the title. On the final day, a draw or defeat for Chennai against Minerva and a win for East Bengal would have crowned East Bengal champions. While they did manage to win, Minerva Punjab lost 3-1 after taking lead.
