Asia Cup 2022 to be held in Sri Lanka in August-September, to be played in T20 format

The Asia Cup 2022 will be organized in Sri Lanka and the tournament will be played between August 27 and September 11 in a T20 format, it is learnt. The six-team tournament will be preceded by the Qualifiers, which get underway from August 20. Asia Cup, a biennial event, was last played in 2018. The tournament was cancelled by the ACC in 2020 thanks to the disruptions caused in the cricket calendars due to the Covid-19 pandemic
