Atletico Madrid fined after “Die Griezmann” chants

Atletico Madrid has been fined $333 after its fans threatened former player Antoine Griezmann during last weekend’s home fixture against Barcelona. A portion of the Atletico fans chanted “Die Griezmann” early in the match won by Barcelona. The Spanish soccer federation’s anti-violence committee after working on the case decided to only fine the club but warned in future the punishment will be much heavier.
