Bangladesh rest Shakib, retain Mashrafe for Sri Lanka ODIs

Bangladesh have rested star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan but retained captain Mashrafe Mortaza for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka later this month. Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam and top-order batsman Anamul Haque has also been recalled to replace Shakib and batsman Liton Das who will skip the series for personal reasons. Bangladesh finished eighth in the recently concluded World Cup after just 3 wins.
