Barcelona defeats Real Sociedad 4-2 in first post-Messi game

The exit of Lionel Messi didn't bother Barcelona much in the La Liga opener as they defeated Real Sociedad in an entertaining game. Gerard Pique opened the scoring for Barcelona as the defender capitalised on a free kick from Memphis Depay with a stunning header. Real Sociedad fought hard to take the scoreline to 3-2 but Sergi Roberto's goal sealed the match for Barcelona with the scoreline reading 4-2.
