Barcelona sack manager Valverde

Barcelona sacked coach Ernesto Valverde and appointed Quique Setien as his replacement. The decision comes after Barcelona’s 3-2 loss to Atletico Madrid in Spanish Super cup in which they conceded 2 late goals. Barca have won only one of their last 5 fixtures. Valverde is the first coach the Spanish giants have sacked mid-season since Louis van Gaal in 2003. Setien’s first game in charge will be at home to Granada.
