Barcelona’s Suarez undergoes knee surgery

Barcelona’s Luis Suarez has undergone surgery on a knee injury and now remains a major doubt for the Copa del Rey final against Valencia. Suarez was on the field for full 90 minutes of Barca’s 4-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool on Tuesday which ended their hopes of reaching Champions League final. But then the club announced Suarez required an operation, with the cup final only over a fortnight away on May 25.
