Hall of Famer and boxing legend Pernell 'Sweet Pea' Whitaker died after being hit by a car in Virginia, according to the police. He was hit in Virginia beach after 10 PM and was declared dead at the scene. Police state that the investigation is underway. The 1984 Olympic gold medalist had won world titles in four weight divisions. He was inducted into the hall of fame in 2006, five years after retiring.
