Debbie Hewitt is set to become the first woman to lead The Football Association(FA) in its 157-year history, with effect from January 2022, after receiving a unanimous nomination from the FA board. Hewitt was the unanimous choice of the seven-member selection panel, led by independent non-executive FA director Kate Tinsley, and subject to ratification by the FA Council, will succeed the interim FA Chair, Peter McCormick OBE.
