Football: England set to become first country to play 1,000 matches

The winning team of England's 1966 World Cup triumph, former captains and most capped footballers will be present at Wembley as English Football Association plans to celebrate the country's 1,000th international against Montenegro on November 14. The Euro 2020 qualifier will see England becoming first country to play 1,000 senior men's international matches. England’s first match was against Scotland 147 years ago.
