Former Atletico Madrid captain Diego Godin joins Inter Milan

Veteran Uruguayan central defender Diego Godin, who left Atletico Madrid in May after serving them for 9 seasons, signed a three-year deal with Inter Milan on Monday. The former Atletico captain guided the Spanish club in their La Liga glory in 2013-14 and winning a pair of Europa League titles. Inter has not won a single trophy since 2011 as Juventus has maintained an incredible period of dominance in Italy.
