Former India cricketer Yashpal Sharma passes away at 66

Former India cricketer Yashpal Sharma, who was a part of the 1983 World Cup-winning team, passed away at 66. Sharma was an explosive middle-order batsman. He suffered a massive heart attack on Tuesday. The former cricketer is survived by his wife Renu Sharma, two daughters Puja, Preeti and son Chirag Sharma. Yashpal Sharma played 37 Tests for India in which he scored 1,606 runs with two centuries and nine fifties to his name.
