Former Mohun Bagan and Indian footballer Manitombi Singh passes away

Former India footballer and Mohun Bagan skipper Manitombi Singh died at the age of 39 at his native village near Imphal in Manipur on Sunday. Manitombi was suffering from prolonged illness and breathed his last in the early hours of Sunday. The former defender is survived by his wife and an eight-year-old son. Manitombi was a key member of the Stephen Constantine-coached India Under-23 team that lifted the LG Cup in 2003.
