Former Mumbai cricketer Ranjita Rane passes away after battling cancer

Ranjita Rane, a former Mumbai cricketer, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, after battling cancer. She was in her 40s. From 1995 to 2003, she had played 44 first-class matches. She was a bowling all-rounder, who bowled medium pace for Mumbai. Rane could also hit the ball a long distance and was a more than useful batter. She started her career at the Indian Gymkhana in Matunga before representing Mumbai.
